MUSIC REVIEW: DARLING CZAR’S FORECLOSURE

Most of my postings since I started this blog have been centered on comic book and sci-fi related stuff. But when you come across something wonderful, there is a sense of responsibility to share it with the world. This is such a time. Back in August of 2013, I had the pleasure of enjoying the music of an up and coming indie rock band based out of the Hudson Valley area of New York State called Darling Czar. After many sleepless nights of writing and rehearsing as well as countless gigs that took them all around the greater New York area, the eagerly awaited debut album titled Foreclosurehas finally arrived and all I can say is, thank you.

Foreclosure boasts a 40-minute, 11-track songfest that ranges from hypnotic and sultry (Purplish) to power ballads (Storm at the Beach) and heart pounding rock n roll (Darkened House). They do all this with an eclectic arrangement of instruments. Regardless of your listening pleasure, there’s something here for anyone and everyone to enjoy. You can download Foreclosure by clicking on the following link… http://darlingczar.bandcamp.com/album/foreclosure
This is a “pay as you wish” site. Which means you can download for free or set a dollar amount of your choosing. Being an artist regardless of your medium or the canvas of  choice to express your creativity, there is a level of respect that can’t be measured in any one particular way. It’s just understood and appreciated with gratitude. It’s hard to get your name out there. But keep believing and keep creating. Success comes in our creation, it comes from our heart. It tells the world who we are. If you can financially support them, please do. If not, spread the word for that alone can be priceless.
Darling Czar is Mike Horgan, Brittany Cohen, Mike McNenney, Rob Horgan, Ramy Dahdal, and Frank McNenney.

About The Dork Knight 520 Articles
James aka “The Dork Knight” is a blogger and writer based out of Upstate New York. For James, it all started with a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… when he dragged his mom to see The Empire Strikes Back 10 weeks in a row. He lives and breathes nerd culture. James is proof that a Star Wars fanatic can be a passionate Trekkie as well. So much so James dressed up as Captain Kirk to the premiere of Star Trek VI in 1991 and still has the uniform. When it comes to Comic Books, Sci-Fi or Fantasy whether in print or digital, in the theatre or on my TV screen, I’m all about it and I love it. So bring your Phaser (set to stun), Lightsaber, Sonic Screwdriver, a Wand, Mjolnir or the Ring to rule them all, because this site is for the dork in all of us.
